Tacomexi is an iconic spot in the city. I've been visiting this place since I was a kid, and it's incredible that that magical, addictive flavor is still present in the recipes, as if time had stood still. The place is humble and maintains that old-fashioned, trustworthy feel. Nothing fancy, austere and simple, but guaranteed flavor at prices you can't beat. Highly recommended over any fast food restaurant. Please never close ;).

I walked several miles in the sun looking for a place to eat and ended up at this place. Unfortunately, upon arrival, I was informed that they only accepted cash, which I didn't have. This forced me to go somewhere else, which was a huge inconvenience considering the effort I had to make to get there.nnI've tried the food before, and it's not bad, but this lack of payment options is a huge negative. Based on this experience, I can't recommend this place, especially in the 21st century when not everyone carries cash.

The tortas are delicious... well, all the food. The only exception is the parking lot; you'll have to drive around a few times to find one at lunchtime.nnBut highly recommended.
